This list will be loosely based off Gestalt Theory and Two World's rule for species. This is a -general- list, and does not have to be followed if you have a certain roleplay being played out. But since I keep planning on certain story settings it's making more sense people know what abilities are for their characters ;P
* Humans *
Standard. You're human, you know the drill
* Shifters *
A shifter only has one human form and one animal form. That is to say, they can only change into one species, or rather one individual down to the same markings, scars, size etc every time. There are no exceptions.
Similar to werewolves, shifters have a long life span.
Can not be extinct species like dinosaurs
Shifters do NOT have a mandatory shift at full moon or at any other phase.
It takes a lot of energy to shift so they can’t go back and forth between forms like it was nothing. Too much exertion and they could end up dead.
* Werewolves: *
Werewolves, the shifters of humans to wolves, to giant canine beasts. They are mostly ruthless creatures, always out for the lust of blood. The prefer to prey after humans, but sometimes they manage to scratch a elf or another creature of the lands. If medical treatment is not reached in time, that person would soon turn into a werewolf themself.
They're wolf forms are usually natural colored. Their beast forms can reach up to 7ft in height, their wolf forms highest at 3.5, and humans always range from 4ft to 7ft... Human forms are usually in rags, because of their transformation.
They do not change under a full moon. They DO force change once every 28 days from when they were bitten, so each cycle varies.
Their lifespan is longer than normal. It's unknown how long they actually do live but there have been some reportedly over two hundred years of age. They will grow normally until they reach their physical maturity and then aging will taper off. They do still age, but their accelerated healing slows the process way, way down.
Can heal exceptionally fast but are NOT immune to silver
* Vampires: *
Humans or others (like half elves) that are now vampires, immortals that drink on other's blood.
Can not be in sunlight
Can not have children
Can not turn into animals
Certain bloodlines carry some weird traits, like losing reflections. This is up to you.
Age increases strength;
*Vampire (Young): They are the weakest of the lines. Ages from 1- 100 years after death. They are only a bit stronger than when they were younger, and have no mental abilities yet.
*Vampire (Adult): They have the strength of ten men as some like to call it. They are able to use mental abilities to read thoughts when drinking blood, and are able to make a human 'sleep' while feeding to keep them quiet. Ages range from 101- 700.
*Vampire(Elder): They have mental abilities available. To control another human's will, to read into their thoughts without the need of drinking the blood. However, they are starting to lose their sanity at this point in their life, blood lust driving them mostly now. Ages vary from 701- 1000.
*Vampire(Ancient): These vampires have full control over all the others. They have lost all human sanity, now just blood thirsty fiends. Only a few Ancients are survive. Some say they are truly immortal. Ages vary from 1001+
